Principal Consultant/ Owner
Jean-Michel is the Principal Consultant of Aries Environmental Consulting based out of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He has 20 years of research and regulatory experience and is a technical specialist in terrestrial ecology, environmental assessment, environmental effects monitoring, and ecological risk assessment. In addition to over 12 years of environmental consulting experience, Jean-Michel served five years as a wildlife biologist and regulator with the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Climate Change Canada. He has extensive experience in environmental assessment, including as technical lead for biological valued components for clients in sectors such as transportation, mining, energy (renewable and conventional), power, government (Indigenous and non-indigenous), and forestry. Jean-Michel has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Saskatchewan’s School of Environment and Sustainability since 2014 where he teaches about environmental monitoring and assessment.
